Ramon & Klara
Ramon and Klara’s wedding at Golchener Hof in Germany was something really special for me. Not only because they’re close friends, but because for once I was mostly there as a guest. I still couldn’t resist bringing along my little Fujifilm X100V holiday camera to capture a few moments throughout the day.
It was also my first time experiencing a wedding in the snow. A proper snowstorm rolled in and covered everything in white, giving Ramon and Klara the winter wedding they had dreamed of. The whole place felt like something out of a storybook, with the countryside blanketed in fresh snow and guests gathering outside around a cauldron of warm mulled apple cider to stay warm.
What made the day especially moving was seeing their family together. With their children Leo and Elle there beside them, the love between the four of them was obvious in every moment. It’s rare to witness a wedding that already feels so much like the continuation of a story rather than the beginning of one.
And for me personally, it was a joy to simply be there, laughing, celebrating, and enjoying the day alongside everyone else. After spending so many years photographing weddings professionally, it was a reminder of just how special it is to experience one from the inside.
